Lancaster County Attorney Gary Lacey says an autopsy has been scheduled for Monday on the Lincoln Pius X football player who collapsed and died after a workout.

No cause of death has been determined. Lacey says that the autopsy for John Liescheski has been delayed because his mother is out of the country.

Lacey says he also plans to have Liescheski’s heart examined by a specialist at the University of Chicago.

The 17-year-old Liescheski was a 215-pound junior offensive lineman. He collapsed after running a 30-yard sprint during a Thursday workout. He was taken to BryanLGH Medical Center East, where he died.

" Sorry to hear about his passing. If the family wants this posted let them decide. I know if my child passed, I wouldn't was this advertised. People should put them selfs in the place of the love ones and ask them selfs. Would I want this to happen to me and my family. Just something to think really about! "

" This is important for all families to find out what caused this to happen to prevent this from happening to our children. I would hope that the family would want to release the cause of death so that we can protect as many children as we can! My prayers are with his family and friends. God bless you John. "

" I'll 2nd what 'Mother' said above me. If it were my child I can't imagine why I would care to keep what happened private. We might all learn something. Thoughts and prayers go out to John's family, friends and all who are so horribly affected by this untimely and shocking death. "
