NU Notes: Women's tennis snaps two-match losing streak
The Nebraska women’s team snapped a two-match losing streak behind strong singles play on Sunday in a 6-1 victory over Kansas State. The Huskers finished the regular season 16-6 overall and 5-6 in the Big 12.
The Senior Day match was the last home contest for lone NU senior Imke Reimers. Reimers holds the NU record for the best singles winning percentage.
* GOLF: The Nebraska women’s team fired Sunday’s third-best round to finish in eighth place at the Lady Buckeye Spring Invitational in Columbus, Ohio. Senior Elli Brown led Nebraska’s late charge with a final-round 74 to finish in a tie for 14th place individually.
* SOCCER: Despite wind gusts of up to 30 miles per hour, the Nebraska soccer team was able to put together a 5-3 victory over a squad of soccer alumni on Sunday at the Nebraska Soccer Field. The Huskers concluded their spring season with a 5-4-1 record.
