The Cats came from behind to win 8-6 Tuesday night over the Saltdogs in Fort Worth.

Shortstop Anthony Contreras went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored to help Lincoln take a one-run lead into the eighth inning, but the Saltdogs gave up three runs in the bottom of the inning.

Fort Worth relievers Tim Haines and Jon Hunton combined for more than two innings of scoreless relief to close out the game.

The Saltdogs will try to break their three-game losing streak when they face the Cats again at 11:05 a.m. Wednesday.

" It's early but so far the roster turnover appears to have not been such a good idea. The story doesn't have the record but doesn't this drop them to 1-4 or 1-5? "

" Did Bryan Warner retire or is he now with a different team?

He was a good guy who seemed to genuinely enjoy being able to play for the Saltdogs and be a part of Lincoln. "

" This makes the Dogs 1-5 on the season. This swing through the south is always a beast. I hate that the Dogs start the season with these long road trips over the past few years. I think last year their opener was a 14-game roadie. This year's team is a mystery, but hopefully they'll bounce back and play some good ball. It's looking rought right now, though. "
